Just finished smoking year 2022 unreleased Sutliff Brown Virginia Flake in a 1920s medium bend smooth dark brown BBB Umbra bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit.

Now smoking well aged 40s or 50s Edgeworth Extra High Grade Sliced in a 2015 Basil Meadows Bing Crosby Merchant Service replica with a smooth straight thin shank, aluminum band and black ebonite stem. This was the first “Bing” that Basil made.
For those that don’t know, Adam runs the estates dept at SPC. Really well, I might add, so I assume he doesn't have a ton of time on his hands to make pipes, I believe he makes batches for the big shows at least, I don’t know how consistently. I know he brought a batch to Vegas this year though.

Reading a book while listening to the rain come down. It’s a perfect time to have a bowl of KBV River of Deceit in a Briarworks Short Fuse. This blend is really starting to grow on me.

MM965 from 2014 in a Dunhill Root from 1940. Back from a trip to find nice temperate weather.
It is one of my favorites for a road trip. It holds a lot and doesn’t get in the way.
CAO Meerschaum with Lattice bowl filled with my old friend, Telescopes. Four decades of pipe tobacco comfort food. One of my oldest and most treasured pipes with one of the blends I’ve smoked the longest.
Well today is buy pipes day. One of my favorite pipe carvers just posted some fall pipes with silver and Bakelite, I couldn’t not get the cutty.

Finishing up the English/Balkan session. What a great time. Started with Chelsea Morning then, Key Largo, Odyssey, From Beyond, Altas Balkan, and finishing up with Super Balkan now. All these were in the little clay so nicotine level never went crazy. I now see how cellars get massive, I like them all.
