Yeah about 5" in the part of WI that I was in (northern). 30 minute hikes in on those cold mornings made for some really enjoyable bowls of Beast in that Peterson short, just perfect for clenching while trudging along.
Windjammer in a clean and rested Stanwell DM.
Now smoking Wilke No. 524 in an undated, unbranded, slight bend smooth darker brown made in France Los Alton VBF zulu with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
C&D Kajun Kake (2023) in a Cavicchi 4C Straight Boiled Egg with Tapered Stem.
Deeply rich, dark, tart, yet sweet stewed fruits. Burn is slow and smoke is cool. There is a faint zesty, fresh peppercorn chime on the retrohale upon approaching the halfway point of the bowl, along with some baking spices (cinnamon, maybe a hint of clove). Like smoking a rich dessert. This is one to sip on and sink in to. Perfect smoke to cap the night off. I hope everyone is enjoying their day, or night, and smoke!

Late night tonight. Just got home from soccer playoffs. My son's team won the district championship tonight and next week we begin the state playoffs. Good stuff. I'll celebrate with some Old Joe Krantz in a Savinelli. 
Finished yesterday evening with some balkan sobrante in a J Davis.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am smoking Wilke No. 24 in a smooth straight brown 1949 KBB Yello-Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem.

Finished work for the day, enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and have a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2002 smooth top, black sandblasted quarter bend military mount Karl Erik Ekstravagant horn with a horn insert in the ferrule and black acrylic stem.
Carolina Red Flake 2023 in a Stanwell Sterling Lovat. Pretty good smoke.
Nearing the first third of this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I'll end the day with this smoke.
