Decided to try this GL Pease Bankside in a Peterson K&P (Book of) Kells XL90. I was skeptical based on the tin note, but a little ways in I’m finding it interesting. Maybe I was apprehensive about the Latakia (the Perique is coming through and that isn’t an issue but I’m usually not choosing Virgina with Perique). It’s fine, so I’m just sipping and taking it in on a welcome Friday night. A7F0D32B-D9C3-4C23-9A21-9181EF0A8930.jpeg

Westminster in a Savinelli Roma Lucite bent pot. I've been craving this for a month. I've missed this blend. I think I got too cool for latakia in the past year and smoked nothing but Burley or vaper blends. I'm an idiot. An idiot that needs another latakia pipe or two.

This has got to be one of the best looking Peterson's I've ever seen. Tnx for the pic!

I’m always lowering my expectations from the website photos. These were apparently only for sale in Germany and got it for a good price from Pipe-24. They shipped from Germany on Tuesday and it arrived today! More than twice as fast as SP EU, but things from them out of Dublin regular post always take a little time. My pic is unusually accurate - that’s really how it looks which is great by me. Liking the chamber on this shape.

Decided on a themed Dunhill day

First up a bowl of Dunhill Durbar
In a Dunhill sitter straight billiard with a tapered stem.

This was a very generous gift from a friend when I told him I was getting back to pipes.
It was unsmoked and came complete in its original box.
All the more generous as this was one of a large number of pipes left to him by his late father.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with a small slice of chocolate pie for dessert. I'm almost half way through this bowl of aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Fed three ferals, and m'lady and I are watching She's Got Everything starring Ann Sothern with a bunch of funny character actors.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2015 Mac Baren Virginia #1 in a straight black 1925 Dunhill patent shell Canadian 33 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Time to clean a few pipes while I watch the movie.

Going to have Esoterica Tilbury (2021) in a Ropp Super Luxe S54 Author.

@tfdickson We visited Industrial Arts Brewing in May of 2018—I had Wrench NEIPA, Torque Wrench, and Tools of the Trade, but, not Impact Wrench. How is it?

Gotta love Tilbury.

Impact Wrench is great, one of my usuals. Similar to Torque Wrench, just bigger all around, 10% ABV. Fine on its own, but also goes really well with a wide variety of foods.
