Relaxing after a wonderful salad, snapper and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking year 2013 Esoterica Tilbury in a smooth medium bend 1999 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Milverton with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Since I have mostly smoked Petersons today, I decided to have a Peterson evening. Watching The World Series. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and am smoking C&D Virginia Flake in straight medium brown 1922-1937 Irish Free State era Peterson 222 bullcap with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. This time smoking this pipe. Sure has been hard deciding on what to smoke in it. I just knew it wouldn't be a Virginia with much or any topping. Not going to smoke something scented or heavily topped in a pipe this old. I can do that with a lot of other pipes. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Finally getting to have a bowl today...going with SPC Deception Pass. Spent a few minutes this afternoon cleaning up the vulcanite stem for this Fireside pipe. Probably 50+ years of oxidation (it was quite green). Oxyclean soak, then rub down with that magic pad thing, then brief flame treatment, then micromesh sanding pads through 8000, drop of camellia oil, a bit of buffing with old flannel and looking sharp!

Thanks. I've collected six of the 75th Anniversary series in various finishes. This one fills the panel slot in my collection. If memory serves, I believe you have a beautiful 75th Anniversary old antiquari.
Yes I have a couple and like them a lot. I can imagine that panel once your hands start to wear through the finish adding patina.
