Not far from finishing this bowl of Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a straight, smooth brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Special 38 bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Red wine dabbed Virginia Gold Lemon (lost all the wine flavor, additional sweetness remains) mixed with Perique. In my clay.

For those that might be interested:

I'm having a coupl'a quarts of sweet rosé vino to gain some strength. I might want to get another bunch of pavement slabs for my "bench press" later today. I got no car and my bike is currently out of order so I have to carry them about halfway through my small town, one by one. It's a decent workout.

Containing the Virginia Gold Lemon leaves that were sprayed with lemon peel infused mead, tightly hand-wrapped in parchment paper. I'll leave the little package there for a few days before I check up on its content and reassemble everything in a better place.
It's all balancing on that little package, I gotta be careful because if that thing comes down it'll come down on me like the walls of Jericho. One plate is 19.6'/50cm around x 1.9'/5cm thick. With more plates it'll turn out to be kinda like a big boy Jenga,

Did a second set of walks, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a 1982 smooth straight Sasieni Ivory 105 Apple with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Now smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.

Some of my last Burley, Danish style (Canadian maple syrup, vanilla) Black Cavendish, Perique, a good pinch of Cyprus Latakia and a pinch of that Virginia Gold Lemon/Oriental/Bright Latakai Virginia mix.
Once again in my ol' reliable.



The Haul of the Slabs was cancelled but I decided to reassemble my construction at a better place right now, good thing too because the bundle started wizzing all over itself and my bench.
Foreseeable but hindsight is always 20/20. Now it's all placed at a better place, closer to the ground.
Gotta get a charred little oak mould as soon as possible.

Hermes is delivering a pipe to me right now. The second I saw it's them I remembered @ Birddog66 's earlier post. Delivery is pretty messed up right now in general, I hope Hermes still has some competence over here.

I had a pipe -a rare and pristine pipe- delivered by them for a friend and the delivery guy dropped it on the street outside my house, trod on it and gouged the briar beyond repair. I know because the outside was wet and it had been raining and had obviously just happened. On another occasion they returned a rare vinyl album to the US without even trying to deliver it.
I hope you have better luck than I’ve had.

I’m gonna have some Germain’s 1820 Flake in this 1911 straight cutty with amber stem and marked M & T Ltd above the hallmarks. I can’t find any reference to that as a maker so I’m assuming it’s a retailer mark as there’s no stamp in the case either.
I just ordered a few tins of the new GLP Bankside, it used to be the home of countless brothels, theatres, cock fighting and bear bating pits, thugs, whores and thieves and other colourful folks. Anyway it sounds right up my street.
