Took me awhile to get into straight VA. Even now there’s only three that I really like. 1. Union Square which I smoke the most. 2. Capstan Blue which I cannot afford. And 3. Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake which I cannot find (I have a few flakes left from a tin I stumbled on a few years ago).

I hope this isn't sacrilegious to any Escudo lovers... but I mixed some Escudo from 2014 with some blending Smyrna and blending Latakia. And... I love it. Smoking it from my Savinelli Extra Dry.
Now smoking year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in an old favorite smooth dark brown 1977 Medley (GBD second) medium bend billiard with a flat underside with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This may get me to dinner time. Watching It All Came True starring Bogart.
