Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 Sutliff 1849 in a medium bend smooth dark brown 1968 Barling 5631 London England TVF billiard silver spigot with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Home again after m'lady and I enjoyed a great A.J. Croce concert, Croce Plays Croce. Nice mix of his work and his father's music. Almost finished smoking Savinelli 145 in a black quarter bend 1970s GBD Prehistoric Rhodesian 9438 with a perspex saddle stem. Dinner is next!

Quite a difference to a typical GBD Prehistoric from the mid-late 1970s

Ours are not very similar that’s for sure. I honestly don’t know what a typical Prehistoric would look like. I imagine mine is pre 1980 as it has a metal rondel.
Here is what PIpedia says
Prehistoric -- England, unknown if also made in France: black sandblast. -TH: Available with Clear Persplex, Vulcanite, Pearl and Copper Acrylic -catalog (1976)

It seems there was quite a bit of variation?
