Enjoyed a tasty cinnamon raisin French toast and sliced apples lunch, and have about a quarter of a bowl left of KBV The Awe Das City in a 1979 smooth straight dark brown Loewe Army 910 billiard with a silver cap military mount and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Have enough for one more bowl. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

McC's Dark Star, a discontinued blend that is said to be hard to light but that jumps to life when hand grated, for a smoky, chewy Virginia based hay and grass flavors woven with hints of barbecue beef along with an underlying sweetness -- smoked in a Johs relatively short stemmed semi rusticated Lovat. I doubt I'll get seconds on this distinctive blend, but I think I have learned a lot figuring out how to smoke it, with special thanks to the various Forums members who reported their trials with this blend, and made suggestions on how to make it work. And boy, does it work. I feel inducted into the secret society of Dark Star.
