That’s the stuff, mine was from another member and there wasn’t any petals in there, I doubt I’d have liked it with them anyway. It’s not bad, certainly better than most TAK stuff which I found a bit underwhelming.

God Simon! I remember those giant tins they used to sell in those pre-metric days. Someone gave me an unopened one once from a relative who had passed away. I remember slogging my way through 16oz of something or other. For some reason I always thought the 1 lb tins were only sold in NAAFI stores but it has been decades since I have seen one of those tins.

Agreed! I wish they were still available and made without the death threats plastered all over them. The artwork was so beautiful on some of the old tins

I started the day with some stoved Escudo in the bent 1922/3 Masta Patent and am about to fill the straight version of same with some Condor Long Cut from the 1980’s (thank you @simong), I’m not particularly keen on the current version but this 30+ year old is a different beast altogether.

Running my jewelry store route today, and carrying a couple of my Nording Valhallas. The smaller is full of PS Sweet Vanilla, and the other has my own Virginia blend.
I have a feeling that at my ENT appt today that I won’t be smoking for a while, till I get my voice back.

Smoking some Early Morning Pipe today from another of my mystery pipes. This one is an unstamped barrel-shaped pipe. It looks almost exactly like the Charatan barrel shape - it even has the same stem and everything. The only difference I can see is that the stem isn't double comfort. There is a blank space (smooth, non-sandblasted) on the shank, but nothing stamped there except "Made in London England". Whatever it is, it's in great shape and smokes like a champ.
