Now smoking D&R Raccoon’s Friend in a pre-1980s straight dark brown Comoy's Sandblast 186 billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Working and listening to Howlin' Wolf.

If only I could give you more likes or rep points. Love the Wolf.

It could be a spoonful of coffee
Could be a spoonful of tea
But a little spoon of your precious love
Good enough for me

Half way through this bowl from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Now smoking Cup O’Joes Adirondack Gold in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. Working on a review of this blend, and waiting for Mad Dog Russo's show at the top of the hour.

Reporting back on this strange mix of dregs -- PS LBF, C&D Bayou Night, and Peterson RY -- which I am smoking in a Kaywoodie straight tapered Saxon billiard. Oddly, these tobaccos really merge well, give a robust Virginia/burley blend with some sweetness from the RY flavoring and the LBF Cavendish. I expected it to be kind of punk and muddy, but it tastes like it was aged this way. Surprise, surprise. I still think throwing everything into a jar and hoping for the best doesn't work, but I did give this five minutes of thought and decided it might work. Now I'll miss it. And let me add yet another rave notice for this Kaywoodie pipe, of recent manufacture, for its light weight, with thin walls that don't heat up, and perfect smoking manners. If I'd bought this as an artisan pipe, I'd be marveling at the craftsmanship, which I do anyway.
