Peterson Irish Flake in a Ropp Tonic tapered red stain apple with silver colored bands and a deep red stem. I seem to rub Irish Flake out a lot and just let it dry in a bowl to have it stay lit, but the flavor is stellar. This Ropp has a thin but wide bit that is easy to clench. Nice little pipe.

After almost a week without a pipe I was able to squeeze in a bowl today. But I had no idea what to smoke. I watched a great interview with Ernie so I decided on some year old Simply Red. For some reason I have struggled with this tobacco. So much so that I had Rouxgaroux in my cart and didn’t pull the trigger (if anyone has some they want to trade for either Simply Red or 5100 send me a dm). This is the first bowl that I have enjoyed. Not sure if it was the age or what, but I enjoyed the sweet and creamy flavor and it didn’t bite me like before. Hopefully as it continues to age it will only get better. I enjoy other blends from Ernie and think it’s more of an issue with my palate.

Did a little snacking since this is an off-diet day, and am now smoking KBV Burrrrley Morning Pipe Fall/Winter Edition Beta Test in an undated, unbranded, slight bend smooth darker brown made in France Los Alton VBF zulu with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
