That is a sweet looking pipe with a killer blast. I have no doubts it will smoke great. Congrats on a cool addition to your collection.

Still trying to appreciate Carter Hall. I know it is a popular codger blend, but it's just too mild. Is it the mouth taste of burley that appeals? I tend to smoke with my nose primarily and while this has a pleasant aroma, there ain't much of it. In a cob with coffee.
Now having my first smoke in a new-to-me Low Country Pipe & Cigar Natural Virginia & Burley in a 2020 straight black sandblasted Merchant Service “Bing” with a nickel band and black vulcanite tapered stem.
C&D Burley Flake #2 in a Peterson Standard System 307. Found this tin in my car and tried to rehydrate it a bit. At its best, this burley flake is rustic and rugged, and overly dry I found it harsh. Smoking a lot better now, though.
McC Red and Black in a Gian Maria Gamboni sandblasted strawberry wood stubby billiard with camel vulcanite. 
PS Navy Flake w/ the Champagne of Beers on the side, while watching the sunset.
Post Script: I have noticed that if I let the gummy cake build up in it's dedicated cob, the flavor intensifies a bit. Maybe those old codgers with only one pipe were on to something!

Now smoking Ken Byron Ventures Cool Hand Prototype in a 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a military mount and a black acrylic tapered stem.
Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Grasmere plug in Barling 4103 billiard. A wonderful spiced smoked for the cooler months!
