D&R Windsail in the first cob I ever bought, Old Milwaukee to drink. Listening to podcasts and whittling.

“Yes, Alex (RIP), I’ll take ‘If you only had $6 and had to buy three things’ for $200, please!”

I love it. The essences of simplicity and perfection combining squarely in the middle of this photo.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of KBV Festivus GT beta test in a 1986 three quarter bend Bacchus face CAO meer with a dark tortoise shell colored tapered acrylic stem. Being a shag cut, this won't last long. I'll try a bigger bowl next time.

Fate has spoken, and in doing so, has delivered a now freshly opened tin of Seattle Pipe Club’s Potlatch. Bought this back in April and have never tried this blend. Just opened right now and gave it a good few whiffs. Definitely an interesting tin note. Comments to follow.

I have absolutely no idea what to make of this blend.

Enjoying some HU English Breakfast. This tobacco is one of the best in its category. I have a little latitude during the day when I smoke for variety, but this is one among a few others that I reach for when only the best will do. I'm enjoying it in a Kriswill. I bought this pipe when I didn't know how to judge quality as shrewdly as I do now and it was a very lucky buy. It has the best grain of any of my pipes and the construction is flawless. It's also the only Danish pipe I own. The stampings are of the early variety and its rather traditional shape and attention to detail suggest to me this may have been a special or early production. There is an anchor stamped on the stem, the significance of which I've been unable to uncover as I've never seen another.

So, I started out with a handful of Pennhooker in my mixing bowl yesterday, intending to smoke one or two straight before making a combo with probably some Picayune,kr some of my cached mixing perique,, but it tasted so good I kept it that way and I've smoked two bowls again this a.m. whilst walking out in the 'hood' under the streetlights and the almost full moon. One with my Dunhill shellbriar, 656, dated 1954, and one in a Yelo-Bole my son gifted me, a kbb briar lovat that I've sanded to natural finish. Turns out to not only have a stinger but passes a cleaner and smokes like a champ. I got in over 2 miles of walk.
