Courtesy of my good friend miket, who knows of my affinity for perique & flakes, I'm burning a blend I'd never heard of, Low Country Waccamaw. Nice bright base, some reds, & a touch of perique, all nicely pressed into a flake, in an old-school (as in, pre-Cadogan) !unsmoked! Comoy Golden Grain 3/4 bent. Nice mellow yet excellently flavorful smoke with a decent room note. Reeeealllly smooth! Won't replace BF, my various aros, or 3 Nuns, but a VERY nice smoke. Thanks jes' bookoodles, Mike! I really owe you on this one!

Relaxing after a wonderful chili and cheese dinner and am part way through this bowl of Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad, too! My second Conrad pipe. A slice of Boston creme pie will interrupt this smoke. Enjoying a visit with an old friend.

Holiday Spirit from 2016 in a Marshal Fields pipe. Yes, they used to sell pipes. One of the older men in our pipe club, said he used to work at the pipe display at marshal Fields.

Had a fairly late run and picked up a Schlotzsky’s Original for dinner. One of my favorites since about ‘76.

Now finishing off a bowl of some ‘98 Virginia #1 in a McCranie’s Rusticated Billiard.

Part way through this bowl of Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a late '80s, early 90s small bend medium brown smooth, unbranded Bjarne pot with a couple small rusticated spots, an amber colored acrylic ferrule and tapered stem in the military mount style. Phone chatting about pipe tobacco.
