St. Bruno Flake in the Whiskey & Ruin cob and something that I’ve been meaning to show off for a while now. Gift certificates are nice to receive at any time because they’re always the right color and size. They’re even nicer when a friend uses his silver tongue to talk a company that doesn’t issue them and never has in their 147 years of business into doing so. That’s exactly what that is; the first gift certificate ever issued by Missouri Meerschaum. Twain didn’t get one. MacArthur didn’t get one. I have the first. It gets a place of honor, both for its precedence setting significance and for its significance as a gesture of friendship.
