Just try thinking of the great potting compost and soil conditioner all those leaves will make in 2 years' time. That usually stops me from screaming, this time of year. Don't let it spoil your day, anyhow :)
The compost pile floweth over, I love good compost. In fact I’m thinking about using it to remediate my dry sandy soil. Thanks for the insight. 😀

@RPK That is a real concern, I have found routes with linear trails off the streets to reduce the risk, also Lots of blinking red lights on the bike hopefully help. Drivers with cell phones you’re never safe though…… My first smoke in a Nutten Bing, these pipes are beautiful, I especially like the stem on this one. Recommended by @PaulRVA View attachment 351752
You definitely snagged a beauty too!
Hope it provides many great smokes.

If you have a lawn tractor, you can chop up the leaves a bit first which will help them break down; and for every six-inch layer in a manageable pile you could spread either a bucket of fresh horseshit, or 9 ounces of of blood, fish and bonemeal, or 5 of sulphate of ammonia. Pissing on the piles helps, too :)
