Its pretty good tobacco, different. I would recommend you trying some. there's a learning curve though. Comes completely bone dry, at least you're not paying for water! Then you have to pack it tighter than you would ever think, I mean cram it down in the bowl after it's filled with all your might. Light, sip slow and it's a wonderful nutty experience if sipped. A nice vitamin N boost as well.😉 Most don't rehydrate it, keep it dry as it comes.
Last month, several of my Pipe Club brothers encouraged me to try a bowl of some Belgium Semois that was there. Their comments were almost exactly the same as above. It definitely was unique ... and enjoyable.

View attachment 346312Kaywoodie Shilouette with a metal band. 1940s vintage. Smoking an oriental-Virginia forward blend of 507C, 515RC, Maryland, Turkish, Smyrna, White Burley, and some Cherry Cavendish. I call this 88s. It is smooth, buttery, and the sweetness of the Virginias is ever present.

Thinking about what changes I might make to it in the future or do I stop right here?
Well ... a splash of Perique might fit the bill. Don't think it could hurt any.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking Seattle Pipe Club Give Me Liberty in a straight smooth medium brown pre-1920 straight Marechal Ruchon & Cie. Royale apple with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Watching Robert Benchley shorts.

My biggest problem ( years ago) with stopping cigarettes was...I kept buying them. Once I stopped buying them it was much easier to stop smoking them. If I had no cigarettes, I smoked my pipe.
Well, I don’t smoke indoors so smoking a bowl is an at least 30min long commitment, while a cigarette is convenient. Anyway I’m off them for a week now, let’s see.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and then smoked a bowl of year 2021 KBV Your Welcome in a straight smooth dark brown 1930s (Comoy’s) Canadian Club 230 eight paneled billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Having another marathon phone chat with the same fella I talked to all day. You'd think he'd know better by now. ;)

This guidance might also be applicable for the use of the French domestic Caporal Export tobacco as well as for other central european traditional fine ribbon cut pipe tobaccies.Mostly these are produced in the Netherlands, Belgium or France
