C&D Crooner today…. Read other reviews from another site that panned it as “rough around the edges” and so on… First time for me. I LOVED it. I may have rushed a bit and smoked it right out of the bag, but still only had one or two relights.
The other reviews that said, “smoke it in a dedicated pipe” … I smoked it in a Kaywoodie Supergrain that I refurbished and have run several types of tobacco through and found that there was absolutely no issues.
I found it to be smooth with a hint of woody-ness…. A mere hint of mint at the finish that was very refreshing.
As an homage to the true crooners, I paired it with a little Makers Mark…
I would recommend this wholeheartedly for those who are looking for a cool, long lasting (bowl lasted about 2 hours) smoke.
No bite whatsoever and no aftertaste.
This one is going down as a favorite ….

Mac Baren Plumcake (thank you, @Servant King) in my Peterson Shannon to round out the evening.

Hope you enjoy this blend as much as I do. I'm eyeing the 1.5 pounds of it I currently have and making plans to get more before STG takes it out back and cold-bloodedly dispatches it akin to some lo-fi blaxploitation flick from the mid 70s...

Smoked a bunch of Five Brothers over the weekend, band went on a little three night run. Everyone was into it, and Five Brothers is robust enough to quell any cravings but burns relatively quick so if I needed to run in and soundcheck it was all good. Had to take a break cause I really gave my pipes the runaround, I'm nearly out of this pouch and I just opened it on the first!

But now its Pegasus in my Peterson Aran.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm a third of the way through this bowl of year 1963 STG Greve Hamilton Blandning in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth octagonal paneled billiard meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. Going to compare it to the earlier version that I smoked, and last year's production, which I haven't smoked yet. I have thoughtful forum member to thank for the samples. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Saturday is the weekly wine and cheese gathering of all the misfits who live on this HOA. There is nothing worse than a bunch of 'retreaded' hippies who have not quite got the message that they are not 21 anymore and that the Woodstock Festival was a very long time ago trying to guzzle large amounts of booze whilst endowed with a less than elastic bladders! Enjoy your weekend people and I will look by later.

Did all those former "Woodstock girls, groupies" dig out their old Granny dresses ... or maybe those ultra tiny shorts, with an (optional) halter top? Jangly turquoise jewelry? Screaming & swaying to the music? Stoned out of their gourds? '67, '68, '69 still live!
