Part of the Furniture Now
AND THE WINNER IS: First pipe to break the Brahms' Sympnony length barrier. Loaded the Oriental dedicated Ropp J07 late last night with Amphora Absolute (Rich), one of my favourites of the genre. Proceeded to listen to the Giulini recording of Brahm's 2nd Symphony, a magnificent performance with the LA Phil which comes in at a full 42 minutes. Not only that, but squeezed in the first two movements of Holst's "Planets". Had a great smoke.

That's a full 55 minutes on this little pipe. I've exceeded this in the same R07 with a slow and cool burning cavendish, but not with any Oriental somewhat faster burning rate. This is an amazing little pipe.

Gunning for Mahler 6 or a full opera next, with my big Pete or Sav. I'm pretty sure the Pete will do 2 hours if I do my part lol!. Tried a different set of filters on this pic to solve my color balance on this forum system. Nope. Back to the drawing board.

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, who still won't come out of the bedroom on her own. Then, I fed all the ferals except for the absent Abner the Eager. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Did a set of walking reps on this chilly day, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Abner the Eager was waiting for me by my car, away from Harry the Hairy, when I went outside. I brought him in to eat, and then did my walks. Lunch follows this smoke.
