Nice pipe club tonight. Smoking a second bowl of Barbary Coast, a kind gift from Ted Vig, in my Peterson Short.
Me and Sandblast, he'll have to remind me what he was smoking. He's always got some nice vintages.
With the good-sized bowl in my Rossi 8815 Lumberman, I filled it with some Speakeasy (thanks to Craig's generosity) and even though it was nicely dried, it lasted nearly 2 hours. This length was probably artificially extended due to me taking breaks to contribute to the conversations plus scarfing down a couple of the bakery treats (thanks to Barry).
I really liked the Speakeasy, finding it to be fairly mild & pleasant.
Your gratitude to Ted for his gift was equal to mine for past gifts from him.
Yes ... kudos to the various Pipe Club brothers (!!!).
Glad you enjoyed my "nice vintages", which for this meeting were McClelland's Arcadia, McClelland's Oriental Mixture #1 & McClelland's Royal Cajun Special. Each has received good feedback from the brothers, but McClelland was always revered. Many still grieve the loss.
NOTE: There just might be some more McClelland blends upcoming.
NOTE2: Yes, I'm aware that McClelland stuff can likely generate a pretty penny on the open market but keeping it to enjoy & share is sort of its own payment.
