I've been posting quite a lot about my Mr. Brog (Polish) Nosewarmer lately in this thread. Like it so much I ordered a second one for my travel kit. He's the best known of the Polish makers, and produces pipes from the folk-art to artisan level. You can start there for your eastern european exploration - lots available online.
I've looked at his pipes before and they are reasonably priced. I saw that Simon from LCS Briars bought a "clay" pipe from him. I didn't see his review so I need look for it. Glad you are happy with your choice.

Thanks. Yes, indeed, I am . . . .I'll be ordering one of his upscale pipes in the fall . . got my eyes on one of his olivwood jobs in the Peterson pipe class in cost, about $175 US, a far cry, for me anyway, from the $35 bucks I paid for my nosewarmer

Half way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. M'lady fed all the cats except for the absent Abner the Eager and Harry the Hairy. I'm stretching out a stiff back to see if I can do my walks or not. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

This pipes beautiful. Best looking pipe I've seen on here for the last few weeks. Really like this one
Thank you MortarMessiah: I bought this back in the 90’s, I didn’t even know who Wiley was. Now I covet this pipe, the finish and understated elegance is flawless. Your collection by the way is outstanding.

Morning Smoke - repost of picture, but different pipe . . . . this time just finished puffin' on the Ropp J06, 3rd break-in smoke with Borkum Riff Dark Cavendish. Break in good enough for putting the pipe (ditto with the Brog Nosewarmer) into rotation with the tobacco or genre it's being dedicated to, and let subsequent smokes finish the job in rotation.

This whole thing of finalizing my pipe and smoking system has been like a jigsaw puzzle - the farther I progressed in the task, the more clear the results appeared. Now it's time to stop fiddling around and just play. So very similar to developing, memorizing, and perfecting (within human limits) repertoire on the fiddle itself. A pretty good feeling, really! :)👍

Enjoyed three ham, cheddar cheese, two egg open face sandwiches and a decent size bowl of Raisin Bran with extra raisins thrown in (I never miss the target) and a golden delicious apple lunch. I'm almost half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink. Watching the first game of the Orioles-Red Sox doubleheader. Going to record game two because it conflicts with the Braves-Padres game.

Harry the Hairy showed up to eat, and is snoozin' after pleading for attention, which he got.
