Today marked my 500th smoke. It was challenging finding the 'right blend' to mark this silly occasion, but I ended up with SPC Mississippi River Rum Barrel Aged in my LCS Briars bent Billiard. This particular blend has been aging in a jar for about a year now and is still one of my all-time favorites. Rich, flavorful, well-balanced, and delicious. Here's to the next 500!

C&D Burley Ribbon Cut in a Peterson Irish Harp #53 Sandblasted Lovat with a cup of black tea. Was listening to the tower at Islip Airport while the USAF Thunderbirds flew in. I have a great view of the approach path into the airport from home, which is located in the northeast corner of the area that they'll be flying in over the weekend for the airshow. Hopefully the cloud base will lift soon and they can get up to do their orientation flight.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2020 D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Currently, I am close to finishing this bowl of Wilke Pickett’s Charge in a post-WW2 straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Dublin 3 bulldog with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. The interview about comic book history went well, and may be broadcast sometime in June or July. I picked pipes that I could clench while I talked.
