Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking year 2021 first production Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Tomato the Brave came in to eat after Daisy the Feral Princess went out. Tomato's roaming around the den trying to avoid boredom. He was on my lap for a few minutes, but I tend to be boring, too. ;)

Pretty impractical in most cases but in those few where it is, it's awesome. I'd buy it if I saw it. I could always use a two inch scale. Standard calibrations? From that date I wouldn't think it would have 100's but that would be great.
That's a pretty cool lighter also.
No decimal, it’s all fractional. 1/8 & 1/16 on side and 1/32 & 1/64 on the other. Apparently Starrette still makes it.

The lighter is a Thorens Teleflam

I read here of some who salvage the last bits of tobacco from a tin, a jar or a pouch. There's enough for about half a bowl, then they top it off with some other bits. Um ... BINGO ... they have a PARFAIT. Any recollection of me (Sandblast) commenting that if I were to change my "name", I've decided that "Parfait_Guy" would be my choice. Last week, I made a Triple Parfait ... not my first ever, but rare. It confirmed my belief that a Triple is too much. The segue from "Top 1/3" to "Middle 1/3" was fine, but by the time the "Middle 1/3" reached the "Bottom 1/3", the "Bottom 1/3" seemed to have been lost. Therefore, Double Parfaits are clearly the best.
So ... just made a Double Parfait:
Top 1/2 = Dan Tobacco Sweet Vanilla Honeydew
Bottom 1/2 = McClelland Oriental #1
Loaded into a Comoy Naked Briar (Dublin), a great smoking pipe. Have had it awhile & it's darkening. Plus, it's sandblasted, so the interesting grain is there. There are other pipe makers with naked briars.

Off to the studio with a bowl of year 2021 Watch City Simply VOriental in a straight smooth medium brown 1930s Wilshire 5 bulldog (Comoy’s second) made for John’s Pipe Shop in Los Angeles with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Been listening as I work to one of the best and longest story lines in The Adventures of Superman radio series: Superman Versus The Atom Man.
