Just arrived. BOTH of them at the same delivery. Ropp J06 and Mr. Brog Nosewarmer. And, Lo and Behold, my forthcoming Rhodesian Meer has now been shipped, after the cheque cleared - (yah, I'm one of them 😁 .)

More later tonight. Now, you may be asking, What Are You Smoking Now. Nope Stickin' to my guns, and my chew until tastebuds return. Present chew, still SP Whiskey. Will switch to SWR at 200 PM, Pacific Time. As I said before, I do have discipline. When necessary!! Quick pic though . . . . notice the tobacco leaves are turning yellow? More on this later, too.

Bowls are almost the same size. Mediums. Brog a touch smaller. Suits me just fine.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am near the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink. It's been raining for hours, and is supposed to all evening. All the ferals have been inside snoozin' for a while. I'm getting ready to clean a few pipes.

It is indeed a Starrett, and no it is not cut down. It’s also the only
One I’ve ever seen. It’s from the late 1940’s. It’s very handy.
Pretty impractical in most cases but in those few where it is, it's awesome. I'd buy it if I saw it. I could always use a two inch scale. Standard calibrations? From that date I wouldn't think it would have 100's but that would be great.
That's a pretty cool lighter also.

Trying out Gawith Hoggarth Dark Plug for the very first time, in a Falcon Extra with a little Bantam Dublin bowl.

I do believe this may be the smoothest and tastiest dark fired blend I've ever smoked! When sliced thin and rubbed out to a fine shag cut it stays lit quite easily with no dry time beforehand, much better than Dark Flake for sure, and in spite of having the same base tobaccos as Dark Flake I'm finding Dark Plug to have a much deeper, richer, and cleaner flavor. This is some really outstanding tobacco! puffy

Near the last third of this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Gold Flake in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Special Made in England squat dublin with a tapered black ebonite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
