A minute or two away from smoking year 2016 Peter Heinrichs Special Curly in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Lumberman with a long shank and a black vulcanite saddle stem, unbranded.

This is a beautiful pipe. I've seen you post this one before, and it's probably my favorite of the pipes I see you post. It's stunning. My style of pipe. Very Nice

A beautiful evening enjoying a post supper bowl of C&D autumn evening in my lorenzetti pipe. View attachment 390907
Very Nice! I got a couple Lorenzettis too. They are Awesome! Smoke great and look great and they are affordable. I read an article or something about Lorenzetti pipes and their history. Very cool little company.

Folks like @cosmicfolklore have asked “why?”, and I think my reasons are twofold: 1) I persist in smoking some “bland” blends to practice slowing my technique in order to tease out more flavor, and 2) this might be the best-behaved blend I have open. It stays lit even better than some of my C&D stuff (accelerants?) and doesn’t bite on windy days.

On the menu for my morning commute was a mixture of 5 Brothers and C&D Yorktown loaded in my new (to me) Grande Morez (Ropp 2nds). I am not fond of the stem as it's pretty tight and hard to pass a pipe cleaner but that's why I picked this up, to tinker with.

Hope you all have a great day!

Great sunburst grain on that side!
Shouldn’t be too hard to open (carefully) the airway.

On to the topic:
Odds and Ends in the commuter pipe was my only smoke so far today.

That's really what drew me to the pipe. Unfortunately, there's a gash I didn't notice when buying it off the bay, hopefully I can find a way to fill it in to make sure doesn't expand. I will also look up how to open up the airway, thanks!

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger. Going to check on the ferals after I post this smoke. Watching the Orioles-Twins game.
