Just finished smoking year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 127 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Took a while to finish, but this pipe is a great smoker, so I picked it for this particular time over other smaller pipes dedicated to this blend. Going to check on the ferals after I post this.

I like the taste of new meers!
I've heard both sides of that coin . . . . I've had one that was easy, another that was not. With this ugly ear infection that has been wreaking havoc with my eyes, ears, nose and throat FINALLY diminishing, I'll probably be giving it a go next week. Did not realize how interconnected all of these sensory systems are. Guess it's never too late to learn.

Thanks for the encouraging perspective - you've probably tipped the scales. :)

Now smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a late '80s, early 90s small bend medium brown smooth, unbranded Nording pot with a couple of small rusticated spots, an amber colored acrylic ferrule and tapered stem in the military mount style.

What a beautiful pipe! Everything works together here.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in an undated straight smooth brown Crosby Saint Andrews “Merchant Service-like Bing” with a silverish band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the second game of the Orioles-Red Sox doubleheader.

Fed all the cats except for the absent Abner the Eager. I fed Harry the Hairy first, and put him out so that I could let the others eat in peace. Daisy the Feral Princess decided to stay in after her meal, and is laying near my feet. Tomato the Brave wanted out after he ate. Earlier in the day, he jumped up on my lap and got about ten minutes or more of attention. He was so happy that he couldn't stop purring. A couple of minutes after everybody ate, I saw the motion light was on, and sitting on the doormat was Abner the Eager. I opened the door and the little fella came in to eat and eat; more than he usually does. He laid on the top of my chair for a short while before wanting out. I opened the door, and Tomato came running back in for more food. He's by my side right now.
