A third of the way through this bowl of year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Delight in my very reliable smooth straight post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian 263 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Been working and listening to the rebroadcast of the Braves-Mariners game since I missed a bit of it this afternoon.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Haven't seen Harry the Hairy today. Saw Abner the Eager once. Haven't seen Tomato the Brave in four days. I wonder if his "owners" might be keeping him locked up to keep him home. Or maybe it's because of the scampers, but I doubt it. I am seeing less of those cats lately. Daisy the Feral Princess mostly stays inside these days, but she keeps her distance from the scampers, and when she can, Sam the Scamp, too.

Goodness! It is only the 2nd day of May and we are on page 9 already. Today I am having a little bit of a late start since I didn't fall out of bed until 5 AM as opposed to my usual 4 AM kick off. In view of the lighter work schedule today I will be smoking this attractively colored meerschaum 'cutty' with original amber stem and orific bit. The silver band dates this 'no name' pipe to Birmingham 1897 although the band seems to have the letters BBB but nothing in the case. All the other 19th century BBB meerschaums I own all have the BBB logo stamped in the case as well as on the band. The case and pipe certainly left the factory together so this is one of those mysteries that will be lost to the ages. I will be smoking Ennerdale Flake circa 2019 today from a jar that holds the entire contents of a 500g bag as purchased fresh in 2019. For some reason known only to the Oompa Loompa's at Gawith the pre-2020 Ennerdale seems to taste different and seems to have more Auntie Mabel bath perfume 'Rose Geranium' essence but I am told that this is just my imagination and advancing years catching up on me! Enjoy you day and as the Japanese say to each other 'Be happy in your work' and I'll drop by later.

After successful ear surgery yesterday, I'm in a lot more pain than anticipated this morning. Smoking 2021home-stoved Haddo's Delight in a Savinelli St. Nicholas 673ks. The doc warned me my sense taste of would be a little whacked out, and it sure is.
Hope the pain subsides and the taste returns forthwith.

PS Luxury Navy Flake in a cob.
