Half way through this bowl of Hearth & Home AJ’s Vaper in a pre-1952 Sutliff Falcon 372 (made by Comoy’s) smooth light brown straight bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Took a work break to feed my cats, Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I had the maiden voyage smoke for my estate Danish Sovereign, I had some PS Norwegian. I don't know if Norwegian counts as a codger blend given it has Orientals, but it's a great no frills smoke that I find is perfect for breaking in pipes given its shag cut and dryness. I think I'm going to dedicate this pipe to Kentucky blends, I just bought my first tin of Three Nuns.20240527_222127 (1).jpg

Remembering all those Patriotic Americans lost in the wars. Never ever take our freedoms for granted.

@Carol Nice pipe! I might save the Coniston Cut Plug for if I visit the Sealed Knot re-enactment next month. It would suit the English Civil War period like the 1792 Flake did in Nantwich.

A third of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I should be able to end the day with this smoke.

This is my first day of my 77th yr on earth. That means I turned 76 today. I've got an appt. to have some skin cancer removed from my right arm this a.m. It's about the size of a quarter on the outside of my bicep.
Getting ready to drive over to the dermatologist's offices at 11:00 a.m.
Smoking some Match 965 in my no name octo panel sitter.
