Did a set of walking reps on this beautiful, warm sunny day, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Statue of William Cavendish at Buxton Crescent:
I really like him and have stood next to him a few times.
One time I blew him a bit of pipe smoke from my clay; I think he enjoyed the smell of it!

@PipeWI I like to make a big cloud of smoke with my clay pipe - how is it done?
I just take a BIG drag on my pipe and REALLY get the fire going, fill my mouth with pipe smoke and blow it out in a BIG cloud!
Smoked all my pipe baccy now; not buying any more until I go to Buxton next week.
@halfdan, Not sure about clay pipes. I favor a briar with a big bowl, so volume of tobacco may be a factor. I do know that slow and careful lighting and drawing is crucial or else the coal burns too hot and, paradoxically, the volume of smoke goes down. Keep us posted on your experiments!
