Current mixing bowl contents are: Cockstrong, 515RC1-VA, picayune, stoved VA, Voodoo Queen ( I don't think I plunked in anything else). Somehow it all tastes wonderful! Every pipe I use. Just loaded my Chris Besse from Red Deer Alberta Cananda, Smooth maple billiard, hand made from stummel to vulcanite stem. This wood is coloring as the finish was simply wax. Interesting transformation, similar to meerschaum.

Up early and smoking some Rougaroux in a Dr. Grabow billiard (second one from the top). These are some that I sent to the Dr. Grabow factory to get re-stemmed.

For a change of pace. Some mature red Virginia and unsweetened burley cavendish in a cob.

@Grangerous I was smoking C&D Winchester in my clay pipes at the Battle of Nantwich re-enactment last January; I had a pint and a clay with some of the Sealed Knot re-enactors. Didn't drop pipe ash down my sheepskin coat in Nantwich:)

Sillem's Councilor Flake in an Ashton pebble grain billiard. Do not sleep on Sillem's Councilor Flake. If you can't get your hands on Solani 633 this is a very close substitute. It may in fact be the same thing. Both made by K&K. Both are VaPers with a wonderful rich sweetness. Beautiful flakes. And in stock at SP!!!!
I've always extolled Councilor Flake, though I ran out of my stash a couple years ago. I really liked the Virginia/perique ratio and the overall flavor was unique.

Today though - coffee stroll - HU Flanagan in the 1960 Dunhill Bruyere (group 2).
