I just finished smoking year 2013 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth 1960 Dunhill DR 137 group 4 root briar canted dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Red Sox game.

Now smoking aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem.

Peretti Ebony in a cob as the afternoon grows long. Getting a taste of this interesting aromatic cavendish to get an idea of what I might expect with the "Blackadder" blend I mixed with 50/50 Peretti Crown and Peretti Ebony. Ebony on its own is nice! It is different from the C&D Mocha though has a similar moistyness I am seeking to pair with the dry Crown... Glad I took a chance and ordered a sample 2 oz.

Got home early after a long day of doing errands off the mountain i.e. stocking up on several weeks worth of food. Had some time to relax while mucking the mustang's corral, so naturally...pipe time! Mac Baren Burley London Blend (glad I snagged two tins this past summer before it sold out) in a Foyard paneled beechwood Rhodesian. Finished, and got him fed just before the rain started. Timing, ladies and gentlemen, timing!

Only birds I saw were some towhees, jays and ravens, the first two gorging on seeds and insects in the corral. Going to have some dinner and watch the NHL highlights. Glad to be home, and glad to be indoors!

Just over a third of a bowl left of C&D Virginia Flake in straight medium brown 1922-1937 Irish Free State era Peterson 222 bullcap with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave, and I'm almost a third of the way through this bowl of Jim’s English in a full bend black pebble finish 2001 Rinaldo Lithos YY8 Titania Silver Line egg with a tapered black acrylic stem. Watching the Astros-Angels game.
