Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2012 E-soterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Lavazza Classico, neat, is my drink.

Dan Tobaccos ”Midnight Ride” in an unknown (stamping is not complete) sandblasted bent with p-lip ebonite stem. Bowl is a little bit damaged, maybe the former owner dropped it. I don’t smoke this pipe often, but it seems to fit the oriental blend with a hint of Latakia quite nicely.
Just back from two weeks in Italy - Milano, Monterosso al mare, Lucca, Firenze, Siena & Roma. Nostalgic sadness for what is now over and for tobacco that will be hard to come across again in North America. "Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all," keeps coming to mind.

Now smoking year 2014 MacBaren Three Nuns in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Lumberman with a long shank and a black vulcanite saddle stem, unbranded.
