2013 Capstan Gold Ready Rubbed in a Jack Howell Bulldog.
Later in the day then when I usually post in this thread, so instead of burley in a cob, it's Low Country Natural Virginia in my family era Sasieni Liverpool.
About a third of a bowl left of year 2015 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Sometimes the amount of tobacco left in this pipe is hard to determine. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Swam some laps, going to smoke some Five Brothers in Peterson XL02,listening to Jimmy Forrest, some iced tea with lime.
Grudgingly doing some yard work. Taking many breaks and currently smoking C&D Habana Daydream in a cob.

Did a set of walking reps on this very warm, partly cloudy day, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem.
Doug Erwin (a moderator and co-owner of Pipe Smokers Den) passed away on Saturday. His all day smoke was Carter Hall in a cob. In honor of his life and passing, I am smoking year 2012 Carter Hall in a 2013 quarter bend 5th Avenue Doug Erwin nose warmer cob with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Marlin Flake in a Ferndown Bark billiard. This is my only Ferndown, so I wanted this classic shape with silver.
I have a small amount of Carter Hall in the cellar. I'll be breaking it out and smoking a bowl in a MM Pride in honor of Doug as well. Thanks for bring his passing to our attention.
Screw the yard work. This big MM General loaded with Elizabethan Match needs to be tended to.

Bengal Slices (Standard Tobacco Company of PA) in a Erik Nording free hand. First time trying Bengal Slices and I did not break it apart, but folded a piece of the cake into the briar. Took several charring lights and had to relight several times, but it smoked cool and clean. Been having trouble tasting the leaves of late (with blends like Star of the East and Super Balkan) so I purposefully sipped Bengal slices and was rewarded handsomely. Well done Mr. Ouellette!
Enjoyed a tasty lunch, cleaned some pipes, and am almost half way through this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Gold Star Kona Extra Fancy, neat, is my drink. Have enough left for a cup or so.
