Well, it was another long, hard, hot and stressful 14 hours at work last night…. Time to relax with a BIG pipe full of tobacco and a Sweet Water 420 Imperial on the side. I’m going to try something different, GH Scotch Flake, rubbed out with a generous pinch of GH Kendal Gold Vanilla Shag mixed it. Smoking it out of a pipe I rarely smoke, mainly because it’s BIG! It’s an Ardor “Old Briar” (Dorelio) Dublin. This was a very limited series that Ardor did. The briar used in them was cut over 100 years ago. I can’t remember right off hand where they got it. Seems like it was from an old pipe shop that had been closed for decades with a lot of stuff left in the building, if my memory serves me.
the pipe is huge! I don’t remember the exact measurements right off, but the bowl is well over 2 inches deep. I’ve included a couple pictures of it with other pipes of mine, none of which are exactly small, for comparison. It’s a very unusual and special pipe though.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, snapper and green beans dinner with strawberries and freshly cut pineapple for dessert. I'm in the middle of smoking year 1983 Condor Long Cut in a smooth straight 1870s Au Pacha meerschaum canted cutty with a sterling silver band and amber orific stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Love the pipe Jim! How do you like the orific stem? I have a Tyrolean/ Jager that has one. Of course it’s a fully bent pipe, but it’s easier to clench than one might think. I don’t know that I would be able to say that if it were straight like your Cutty. I doubt that you are clenching that beautiful 150 year old amber stem though are you?……. Are you?……?

Going to have Prince Albert in a Dinant Prince Albert Figurative Clay Commemorative/Souvenir pipe from Belgium with a horn (orific) and cherry(?) stem, circa 1914. Unfortunately, the shank was cracked and I had to repair it with G/flex epoxy (and amber cyno with Plaster of Paris fills). But, it seems a no brainer that this needs to be my dedicated Prince Albert tobacco pipe. If I come across another one, I'll upgrade.

Enjoyed some OJK in a Claridge (Comoy) lovat. I actually prefer Old Joe Krantz to Haunted Bookshop, it seems smoother to me. I don't think I'll continue with either because the nicotine is too much for me, it gives me the gitters.

Love your pipe! As for the nicotine in those tobaccos, I agree! I love Haunted Bookshop, but you'll notice I always smoke it in a small pipe. Otherwise, I get the spins bad!
