I broke the amber stem on my Gambier clay last night while I was enjoying some HH Rustica in it. The bore was very tight and even getting a Falcon pipe cleaner that had been lubed with a little mineral oil through it was an ordeal. You can see in the picture just how much tar the amber has absorbed over the last 130+ years.
Starting off with Edward G Robinson in an unmarked Czech made rusticated billiard, coffee to drink. Last week in my current position before switching accounts and WFH full time!
Bradyville in the BIG Caveman. Basically it’s just a hunk of rough hewn meerschaum with a 2 3/4” deep bowl.
I think even cavemen had a bit more imagination than this however and would have probably decorated it to some degree.
