Thanks, man. I paid $40 for that one at a Tinderbox. It's the only Larsen pipes I ever saw in this area, and I just had to have it.Beautiful pipe, Jim!
The lines are spectacular, sort of a bent dublin leaning toward yacht almost, and a beautiful blast! $40 is an absolute steal for sure. Thanks, man. I paid $40 for that one at a Tinderbox. It's the only Larsen pipes I ever saw in this area, and I just had to have it.
I was putting myself through under graduate school at the time so it was a fair amount of money for me then. I sure did get my money's worth over the years I've owned it.The lines are spectacular, sort of a bent dublin leaning toward yacht almost, and a beautiful blast! $40 is an absolute steal for sure.
That's a very interesting mount.G. Smith & Sons full English 1869 BLEND in a 1904 L.A Calabash:-

Goedewaagen meerschaum? That comes as a surprise to me as I believe the company - the longest continuously operating pipe maker in the world (from 1779 to 1982) - only ever made clay/ceramic pipes.
That’s interesting, of course the band could be from another pipe, or it’s a rarity, perhaps a custom job for someone.
Not a bad representation of the contents of the bowl but I'd suggest adding a small coin of THREE NUNS in the middle to match the doodle.
