About to finish up my first taste of Rattray's Old Gowrie in a bent Twain cob. Great stuff. Mild Brown Woods and Earth with evolving Tang. Smooth, smoke and burning, with little moisture. The tartness is much more subdued than in Marlin Flake for me. Very nice, and I enjoy both.

Kendall Cream Deluxe Flake in a MM Legend, out on the porch. It’s a lovely day, truly. Trying to get myself psyched up to cut the grass instead of sitting on the porch, smoking, like a loaf. Just watched one of my neighbors, 81 years old, chainsaw a tree apart in his yard...so...

Neighbors across the street have begun their springtime festivities by covering all of the logs, bricks, and random piles of sticks in their front yard with white plastic. They’ve also been painting inside of their closet. How do I know that? Because this morning, 7AM, the male yelled “HEY, bring me my COFFEE!” Followed by a “WHAT!?” From the female. “My COFFEE! I’m PAINTING, in the CLOSET!” None of their windows were open, by the way.

Enjoyed a tasty late lunch, and am now smoking Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in my trusty 1970s smooth three quarter bend Peterson System Standard 305 with a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Going to do some more walking now.
