I prefer to rub my flakes out. I think they burn better that way.
Me too.... I tried fold/stuff in many different fashions and I just have had to conclude it does not work for me. Every time, I doubt it, and give another shot, I don't have as great an experience or have an issue typically. What I do often do is fold and then twist, jiggle, and jam (jiggle/jam technique?) the flake back on iteself holding it all together until well broken up and then pinch it just enough to get a very airy plug that slides down into the bowl, then I flair out that which is sticking out the bowl and pack it down leaving the bottom a little looser than the top (best I can describe, but it's pretty much a rub out without scattering it). I also do this over the bowl to allow the few bits that drop away during jiggle/jam to fall into the bowl as much as possible. The fine bits that hit the plate or desk go as starting tender onto the top as well.

Up early because the cable people needed access to our back yard. Instead of cursing, I'm smoking Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.
