Just my 2 cents but part of it is just the nature of that particular tobacco. You've got Indian air-cured and African fire-cured tobaccos steam-pressed into moist and meaty and gnarly flakes. I've been smoking it for several years and I still have plenty of re-lights (like every couple of minutes). I eventually learned that it was just part of the deal and not something I was doing wrong and I just made peace with it. The re-lights don't seem to have a negative effect on the taste of the tobacco so it's just a slight inconvenience more than anythingG&H unscented dark flake in S. bang rusticated bent egg.
...dried x 3hrs approx 1 flake rubbed out well and still needed numerous relights. Not very enjoyable this way. But this is the learning process...
