A wake me up bowl of Shortcut to Mushrooms (mixed with a little Carolina Red Flake to "thin it down" a little) in this Altinok meerschaum calabash with my black coffee this morning:

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed my cats, and three ferals. It rained this morning, and since it's stopped, maybe Abner the Eager will show up at some point. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I was trying some Three Friars in a Rossi 8804. After 15 minutes of hardly any flavor I gave up. I thought there was more burley in the blend, I guess it's Virginia dominant. I'm not ready for subtle VA flavor. Maybe this summer I'll try a VA again. I guess I'm an English and Burley guy for now :)

It's funny how taste buds differ from one smoker to the next! I love both burley and Va, but I feel that I get more flavour from Virginia leaf

Some Pegasus/Exclusive/5 Brothers in a Pioneer meerchaum, cannot get enough burley lately. With a cup of strong cowboy coffee. Will be trimming some trees and enjoying life.View attachment 380923
I'm totally with you. Burley is almost all that I want. That's an interesting little mix. What kind of proportions did you do? I've got those blends.
