Today's beater was the Ropp J11P,
Started with CRF+TS20 (one more smoke and that’ll be gone finally), then it was back and forth between Kendal #7 and Ryback+P all day.
Finally round up enough tin from scrap on the property to get the coop/run to mama’s liking. FedEx didn’t get her hardware cloth delivered until late afternoon, so it’ll be finished tomorrow hopefully.
The pullets still have a couple weeks until they go outdoors for good.

You start giving treats, don’t they all? My favorite is the Ph.D. studying a camel. He brought the camel a Coke every morning. The local news did stories on what a great relationship they had. One morning, he forgot, and the camel…killed him. No kidding. I’m thankful that horses can’t quite get their mouths open as far as a camel can, enough to fit the average human skull inside.He doesn’t like them, go figure

Back from a couple days away visiting family...and the local B&M down there, which I felt obliged to support. New pipe gets a new to me blend! KBV Alchemy Parish is first smoke in this Paykoc lattice meer. Nice ribbon cut, very similar to Esoterica and Dunhill ribbons, imho. Yes, there is a starting patina on the meer (colored beeswax?).

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, almost two pounds of pork chops, and mashed potatoes dinner.
