Trying out Lane BCA for the first time, in a Country Gentleman cob, while I go on a late night walk and watch the lunar eclipse. 🌑

I don't generally smoke straight black cavendish, but this is a very good one! It's astoundingly smooth, to the point that I think you could retrohale the smoke from it literally all day long from morning to night and never suffer even the slightest bit of sinus irritation, and it's got a pleasant spiced vanilla sort of flavor that reminds me a great deal of Sutliff Pumpkin Spice; but much smoother.

It is lacking a bit of oomph compared to my usual Burley-centric aromatics and seems to be completely devoid of any nicotine whatsoever, but it's still an enjoyably relaxing and very tasty smoke. I think Lane BCA might end up becoming my Sutliff Pumpkin Spice replacement for when the autumn rolls around, since the flavor profile so very similar. I might just have to sneak in a pinch of Five Brothers to give it a little Vitamin N supplement. puffy

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am half way through this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Got all the pipes photographed, and am going to proofread my descriptions. I still have questions about a couple of pipes so I reached out for help.

A third of a bowl left of Wilke 10 Downing Street in an undated straight, smooth flame grain Wessex Standard billiard with a brown accent on the tapered black vulcanite stem. Just fed Daisy the Feral Princess. She's adapted well to having her teeth pulled out. I'll end the day with this smoke if Sleepy Suzy will let me. She didn't much attention today because I was so busy with the pipes, so she's snoozin' by my side.

Some Dark Twist with a twist of vanilla cake. Its a nice mix and not so powerful as straight Classic Roll Cake. Smoking in a Ser jacopo

Edit: I could see smoking this in rotation as a morning blend. With coffee the way I like it and its dark and smooth. The Classic Rollcake sweetens it and adds some added interest while the Dark Twist makes for a nice base. I found the classic just too heavy with vanilla. Its a nice vanilla but just too much for me.

I've been feeling better, not great, but better and have been able to have a pipe or two a day since Wed.
My olfactory nerves are on alert, but my taste buds are lagging. Still, enjoyable. The first time in awhile I smelled my 'room note'. Stale tobacco smoke. Dug out the air purifier this morning a started it workin.
I went out to look at the Red Blood Moon around 2:30 and again at 3, I've smoked two mixtures so far today.
Sutliff Danish Cav. and my VaPerBur mix. all Sutliff tobaccos. Used my beater Pride from 10 yrs ago, and a no named apple meer.
diagnosis: bladder infection. Day 4 of antibiotics. That could be one reason for off taste or abnormal taste.
I've been pretty miserable, but at least, so far, it hasn't been a colon blockage. I am skeered to get one, and this has felt like that. I lost 8lbs in 4 days and was getting weaker and weaker. This time, I went for help early enough that I could still manage to drive to the Emergent Care Facility about 6 miles away. No meat wagon.
Took a bag of IV fluids, had tests, got diagnosed and prescribed. my food intake has been way off. I'm able to drink fluids now though and the appetite is either a ghost or it's returning. Hell to wear out.

Turned cold, wet, and blustery (gusts to 50mph) this afternoon. This was the leftovers of @servant King’s storm that passed through here about 12hrs later.
More Kendal #7 in the Lee three star saddle stem pear. Glad I got home early to clean stalls before it dumped.

I have a Noble Fencing Loafing Shed but need something like your shelter shown. It looks modular. Can you PM me about it?
