For anthonyrosenthal74:
I share your interest in Nordings. My avatar, also pic below, shows one of my greatest pipe regrets. I bought, many years back, that black sandblasted Nording. With the plateau top, it looked like a Freehand, sort of a Ben Wade, but with the traditional shank & stem, I just thought it was SO cool. And G-- only knows WHY I traded it off. It was a great smoking pipe & very unique. My acquisition of Stanwells ... a 62, a 64 & several 63s ... was my attempt to somewhat rectify that wrong. They're Danish & the 63's look similar, but I'll never stop kicking myself for letting that beautiful Nording go down the road. I keep the memory alive with my avatar. I've contacted Nording but was told that they haven't made that exact pipe for years.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am near the half way mark of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Still working on the Barlings.

Jim ... Great pipe! I've got both a Smooth & a Donegal Rocky rusticated. I ordered both with the Fishtail stem.
Both are System Standards, of course, and the Smooth is actually called the 305XL. Not sure why they didn't just call it a 315, like the Rusticated? My smaller 305s, also both a Smooth & a Donegal Rocky rusticated, are each called 305s. LOVE the Pete System Standards (!!!).
QUES:
In all the WAYS I've followed, I don't think I've ever seen you show a Cob, nor a Falcon. Guessing they're not your "thing", but I'm curious???
I have over 30 cobs, and some are unsmoked, but I'm not into cobs because the stems don't take clenching well at one point or another, and there's no chance that I'll buy a forever stem that's worth a lot more than the cob is.

A friend made this for me, and once in a while, I do smoke it.

Falcons and Vikings are just not my style.

Now smoking first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a black rusticated medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 67/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. I'll probably finish the day with this smoke if I can get everything done that needs doing before bed time.

Nice!! I gotta get a Tortuga to go with my tortoiseshell cat. Actually, it's for me, she doesn't smoke.
My last cat was pretty smart and would listen occasionally and fetch items. You might luck out and get her smoking. I don’t know about tamping though unless she has some extra toes😂
