After lunch smoke on my way to work. Cut Blended Plug in an AKB meerschaum. With most of my pipes out for cleaning, this little meer is going to carry a heavy workload.

Cookies came out awesome yesterday. I had some extras as erm testers. Finally settling down for a smoke and coffee. Feels like a great day for Dark Holler in my Boswell pipe. I’m going to fix a cup of coffee to enjoy alongside the bowl and cookies.

3 bowls of Pegaus in a Falcon with meer bowl gets me outta bed this morning. Off to make some breakfast and see what the day has in store.
KBV’s Acadian Flek for bowl number five in the Tekin face-hanger. This stuff seems to have turned out to be more savory than I thought it would be. I will say however that while I might not like more than a hair of perique in any blend I smoke, this stuff is completely and entirely better than decent, very different and fun.
Lane LL-7 in a Peterson B42 Silver Spigot. Of all my Petes, this one is definitely a favorite. Fantastic smoker, great feel in the hand. I'll be giving the silver a good polish after this smoke. But for now, should be a nice long smoke while I watch Ladyhawke. Coffee on the side.

Well today I decided it was time to revisit Virginias and dug out out of my cellar a jar of sixpence from 2020, still. Smoking it out of one of my favorite Peterson System Pipes, I picked this pipe up as an estate pipe from my local B&M he had it behind the counter till he saw me come back in and knew I would want it...well he was

Getting ready to watch UFC 313, Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev, which we were unable to watch live yesterday—there was a party we had to attend in Brooklyn—Lock Yard, the bar where Susan and I met in August of 2017 is closing today. Last night was the big farewell party. Susan and I had talked about having our wedding there if we ever decided to make things official. That was now an impossibility. News of their closing only became known a couple days ago. We got there about 4:30 pm. A little after 9:30 pm, I made a toast to the bar, our friends, and talked about a health scare I had last year that reminded me of the importance of the people in your life, and followed things up with the next best thing given the circumstances:
