Having Cornell & Diehl Pirate Kake in one of my Birthday Haul 2025 pipes, a Nino Rossi 239 Bent Billiard with saddle stem made for the Jolly Roger tobacconist in Saint Thomas. These days, most people think of Rossi pipes as budget versions of Savinelli pipes, but Rossi was its own company for a very long time before Savinelli took over the brand.

I made a mistake when I picked up more tobacco at the weekend - I got 25g each of American Delite and Kentucky Nougat, which were handed to me in generic tobacco warning bags labelled Gawith Hoggarth before I promptly stuffed them in my pocket. I have tried neither blend before and they look and smell so damned similar that I now have no idea which is which. All of this is to say, about to smoke my first ever bowl of either American Delite or Kentucky Nougat, though I may never be sure which, in the new basket pot View attachment 375346
A second bowl of the same

That is a beautiful pipe. I’m going for Pegasus this morning. It has the best cocoa note to me. It’s the best burley Virginia without perique to me. View attachment 375351
Pegasus!!!
Shhhhhhh🤫 you’ll conjur up @didimauw 😂
Pegasus is great and @didimauw ’s love for it has me keeping a few tins around. Try some HU Makhuwa and Bob’s Chocolate Flake too for the Cocoa both totally different but both are excellent as well.
Makhuwa has perique but I don’t find it overwhelming .

Phiredog,
I hope you find it as pleasant as I do. Like tobacco, there is a lot of variety in the types and ages of Pu’erh. I have some less aged loose leaf, but my favorite is these aged pucks that you can break up and get 4-5 generous cups of tea.
I really like it with VaPer baccy.

I'm interested in trying Pu'erh tea as well. Do you have any recommendations for a first timer?

I smoked the Peterson Sherlock Holmes "Hudson" pipe I bought for my 70th. birthday, nine years ago, and shared my birthday celebration today with my ZOOM buddies. I had a bowl of (you guessed it) Samovar. A mug of Jack Daniel's Tennesse Whisky Coffee was my beverage.
Now I'm off for a dinner with my family.
