Interesting Substitution. Bengal Slices, one of my "protected species," and now discontinued, was given a boost last week when I obtained two tins last week from the Mohawk Reserve Store (don't know how they got them but I ain't complaining), now has an available backup at our local Sheffield's outlet, Mr. B's English Mix. The profiles are roughly the same, package and tin saying, a bit paraphrased, "Cyprian Latakia, selected Orientals, and Bright Virginias plus (?)" and they are very similar in taste.

The two McQueen Acorns, one a miniature and the other a small/medium bowl, were both dedicated to Bengal Slices, so I decided to try a taste test by smoking both tobaccos in the dedicated pipes. Both pipes handle the tobaccos equally as well, and both similar mixtures gave truly excellent smokes in both pipes with these both very bold (buddy Mike says "obnoxious" and don't offer them to me again) tobaccos. Nice to report a win-win, (win-win-win? :ROFLMAO: ). And I now have three tins of Bengal and two jars of English Mix, which will last me a long, long time. Wish Black Frigate were in similar quantities, but I'm working on that, and getting a couple more tins of "Mad Fiddler" as well.

These are indeed quirky pipes, but delightful smokers. Tough to light for us visually impaired. Smoke from yesterday. Today's coming tonight lol.

Listening to the birds while having Hunting Creek in a Peterson Tyrone apple. I had to skip my Saturday evening due to pollen messing up my “cadence”.
Sympathies with the pollen/cadence thing in the Spring. Have a similar cadence problem in the fall, when I sneeze and sniffle. Not pollen, but mushroom and fungi spores. Apparently not uncommon.

Enjoyed Watch City's Glass Slipper in a blue rusticated Savinelli Arcobaleno 606 KS bent billiard. Almost too windy outside today, but I was up for the challenge. First smoke for this pipe, and it did not disappoint. This might be my new favorite size shape pipe, as I have another 606 KS of the 2023 Saint Nicholas variety, and it is also a terrific smoker.

I went to town earlier today and it was 68 degrees. As I pulled in the driveway home it began to rain. It thunderstormed for 20 minutes.
Came out here 20 minutes ago to smoke a pipe........it's 40 freaking degrees.
Gotta love this time of year in the great white North. :)
