Finishing up Field and Stream Match in a cob, already posted, and packed D&R Two Timer, twice toasted burleys, mixed with a pinch of PS unflavored black Cavendish in a Savinelli unfinished straight panel billiard that is coloring nicely. A beautiful day here, and we're headed out to a favorite hamburger place in a while.

Going to light up the 2022 Eight State Burley (numbered 0526/10000; three of my tins are sequential; of the other two, this tin is numbered higher for what little that's worth) in the second of the Autograph Rhodesians I got directly from Savinelli.

I love how this sandblasted one has such a low profile.

Unfortunately, it has some scuffing to the top edge of the chamber, possibly from the buffing wheel at the factory. Perhaps, this is why it didn't receive a grade. I still dig it and am glad to have it.

I was surprised I got just shy of an hour and a half smoke out of the other Savinelli Autograph last night. With the conical chamber, I thought it might be a shorter smoke.

Last smoke of the day is Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. Reading while this bowl lasts after I check on the ferals.

A classic beauty, your 2021 Peterson. Anything Basil R. smoked is all right by me. Our family just watched his legendary duel with Errol Flynn in Robin Hood the other night. Reading about Basil R., he seemed a class act himself.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am nearing the half way mark on this bowl of Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Jubilaeum Flake in a post-WWII Bertram 60 straight smooth dark brown squat bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Working on a review of this blend.

Just passing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2020 Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 159 *4 apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Larry's Espresso #17, neat, is my drink. Enjoying my Sunday zoom with a few pipe buddies.
