I see you have made some really nice pipes. How do you go about making them? Do you use a lathe or do you carve them? I know I could google it but thought maybe to get a more personal response by asking a fellow forum member that I see on here a bunch. Thanks.

I do use a lathe for the majority of the pipe and the remainder of it is hand work with a French wheel, files and sanding.

Last evening, Sutliff Balkan Sobranie 759 Match in a Johs smooth straight taper-stemmed billiard. This blend is pretty dry by now but takes some relights. It is worth the effort with the blend nicely melded and mellow. Got a lot done yesterday and today am being pretty lazy, but I have a chair repair project in mind.

Anyone smoking Eight State Burley fresh from this round? Care to comment? I see several are smoking it but not saying much.
