Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of circa year 2000 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Watching Mad Dog Russo.
Shouldn't that be known as 'Jim Inks Pipe Blend'? According to the obit Edward G died in 1973 about the time of Jim Inks first post in the old paper analogue 'Tobacco Review' so I am still convinced the whole death 'thing' was a crafty insurance job and Jim and Edward G are one and the same!

Continuing to acquaint myself with the Rattray's Old Gowrie. So far my feeling is meh. I have read that it takes a few bowls to really get it. More than 4 bowls obviously.

I just tried some C&D Yorktown in a Bantam, either my palate needs to mature more to appreciate Va’s or they’re not my thing. I’ll keep trying them now and again to find out though.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Got a set of walks in. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
