Looks great. I really like tortoiseshell acrylic stems. Very classy.
Thanks. I think I made a good choice, too. The tenion was an odd diameter, however. Standard is 5/16" in the trade, but this was 0.348" or 'S' drill bit size, which only means the briar shank walls were thinner - I didn't want to crack them fitting the tenion! That really slowed me down. The hole was also deep and I didn't want to leave a gap creating turbulence and a wet smoke. In any event, good challenges and a 3 hour job.
